From Teresa Parsons Maulsby

I could never decide where to begin when sharing the family history I have accumulated. No one else's history merges in the same place. We each have our own story and our own interests in that heritage that we share. When Jane Viers gave me some things from my great Aunt Teresa (my mother's dad's sister), it just clicked with me that this is the perfect place to start. Teresa and her sister, Ruth, did not have children. I think it is important to share a part of their stories. CMF, engraved on this bracelet, are the initials for Celia Mabel Finuf, Teresa's mother. This bracelet was a gift to Celia from Guy Parsons on their wedding day in 1909.

The bracelet is beautiful.

Following are several pieces of Teresa's hand embroidered work. This first one is a small towel. Her work is very precise--the pictures don't do it justice.

This is a table runner. It was neat for me to hold it and think of the time and care she put into it. I embroidered a quilt square to represent our family for my mother-in-law and discovered I love it.

This is another table runner. The lilacs made me think of my Mom.

This is a square table cloth. The detail on this one is amazing to me. Again, the picture just can't capture it well enough...makes me want a nice camera!
